Clare Valley has certainly created quite a name for itself with the regions collection of Rieslings, and our Mitchell’s Wines Rieslings certainly fit the bill too! With three Rieslings under our Mitchell’s banner, each has completely different flavour profiles, and something uniquely delicious about each!
Our2019 Watervale Rieslingis one of our best known wines, with our first Watervale Riesling dating all the way back to 1977. The story of Watervale is one well worth telling, with classic, intense citrus aromas and dry tangy flavours that come alive in the mouth. Our Watervale Riesling is a refreshing wine of poise and balance with lees contact to soften the wine. It finds enough roundness in the mouth to balance a pleasingly mineral and classically crisp, dry finish.
Our2017 Kinsfolk Rieslinghas a harmonious balance of acidity and sweetness, with suggestive hints of oak and toast. With a delicate, fine mouth-feel, this Riesling showcases purity with interesting layers of flavours - bright, floral, soft, musk sticks, citrus, candied grapefruit.
Our2010 McNicol Rieslinghas a delicate minerality that beautifully compliments the citrus and spice characters. The most recognisable trait is the amazing long finish that hints at a long life in the cellar for those bottles that are not sacrificed early. We only produce 250 cases of this very special wine.
So, if you’re looking for a white variety to enjoy this National White Wine Day, we guarantee that our ‘Riesling six-pack’ will celebrate the best that white wine has to offer!Enjoy a saving of $38 as this Riesling pack is now just $160!These three varieties – 2019 Watervale Riesling, 2017 Kinsfolk Riesling & 2017 McNicol Riesling – can be enjoyed on their own, however, they are even more spectacular when paired with sweet and sour foods, or spicy Asian dishes.
