Skilly Hills, Clare Valley

This vineyard is located in the hills behind the winery. Planted in the late 90’s in sandy quartzite rich soil. it has never been irrigated or had artificial chemicals used. Low yielding vines produce grapes with bright intense flavour 2015 was a near text book growing season. Late summer rainfall followed by a heat wave, set the vintage in motion early, resulting in wines of distinct varietal definition. Our old dry-grown vines grew a wonderfully balanced crop with great flavour development, and potential for long lived wines
