2017 Kinsfolk Gruner Veltliner

2018 Kinsfolk Gruner Veltliner - coming soon

Balanced and silky smooth with hints of rocket and pepper spice on the nose. Our 2017 Kinsfolk Gruner Veltliner is generous on the pallet with tart lime, stewed pear, apple crumble and toasty oak flavours.

Vineyard Region: Penwortham

What started as a trial block ‘to see how it would go’ became the source of the fruit for this wine, less that an acre block. Hand tendered by Leo. No chemicals used.

Growing Conditions:

A late start to the growing season, due to cool and wet weather, the wettest year since 2000, with 1000mm of rain. This led to a later start for vintage. The vines were in great condition with strong canopies, fruit was of a high quality across the board

Handpicked, pressed whole bunch, ½ tonne total. Naturally Fermented and aged in one French oak barrique. Only 50 Dozen Produced.
