New Release 2015
A deep bright inky crimson red, the nose shows fragrant, ripe berry flavours lifted by dusty exotic spicy notes. There is generous complex fruit flavour on the front palate, leading seamlessly through to a very dry firm tannin finish.
A wine of elegance and finesse with great concentration of flavour, will only improve over the next decade in your cellar.
TONY LOVE - THE ADVERTISER
You would be hard pressed to find more Australian terroir character in a single bottle of shiraz than what lies inside this one. From the bottom of the same Watervale vineyard as the Mitchell?s famous riesling, there is an unmistakable waft of eucalypt here, not green, nor hard but incredibly pretty to sni , and reverbs in the palate with soft and spicy fruit, and more deep black pepper aromatics adding complexity as a tannin-rich finish wraps it all together. Special stuff.
ANTHONY PETERS - WORDS FROM A WINE GLASS
It is a really good, deep colour at the core but the wider you look and move out to the rim, the brighter the colour becomes. It?s quite the picture. The nose and palate work well together bringing similar characteristics emphasising the youthfulness of this wine... it has a promising future. I?d love to see this wine in 5 years at least.
